It’s December 14th already? How did this happen!?!? Wasn’t it just Labor Day about a week ago? Don’t worry, I’m bringing you my Holiday Decorating Tips To Save Time. Whether you have already started decorating, or haven’t had a moment to even think about it – these tips are for you!
Put up a Christmas Tree
This is literally the easiest and quickest way to add Christmas charm to your home. Big or small, pre-lit or just a tiny rosemary plant with a small bow on top – it’s the number one way to make your house ready for the holiday season. Or just decorate the cat…LOL.
Hang up a Christmas Wreath
A Christmas wreath hanging on your front door will welcome your holiday guests into your home – but wreaths look great inside too! I use wreaths many places in my home year-round, and they last for seasons.
Light Some Candles
Lighting really sets the mood for cozy winter days and nights. Lighting one or more candles in some holiday décor takes your decorations to the next level. Candles make great centerpieces on tables, vignettes, or any piece of furniture in any room. Bonus…holiday candles smell wonderful with scents like cinnamon and baked goods! Save money and use candles you already have, and surround them with some holiday elements to create the perfect centerpiece that doesn’t cost anything and is simple and quick.
Bring Out some Throws & Holiday Pillows
Add cozy blankets, pillows and throws with any fun holiday colors, and you’ve immediately added holiday warmth to your home. Plaids are always fun during the holidays and you may already have a plaid throw on hand! If not, here’s a DIY tip: purchase some cheap plaid fabric from Walmart or Joann’s and use it as a holiday throw on the end of your sofa. Shhh…no one will be the wiser!
Wrap Gifts & Add Them Under the Tree
Adding gifts under your tree adds the finishing touches you’re your holiday décor. There are dozens of ways to wrap gifts – add some cute ribbon, ornaments, ever green clippings from your yard. Don’t forget to hit up the dollar stores for brown craft paper for inexpensive and chic holiday gift wrapping!
Create Holiday Inspired Vignettes
Be creating simple holiday vignettes throughout your home, you can set the mood for Christmas with just a few elements. Natural elements from your yard, a few candles, some ornaments…use your imagination and what you already have on hand. Holiday décor doesn’t have to be expensive to be festive and add beauty to your home.
